Product Description

Formaldehyde

Application Notes

Formaldehyde is used as bactericidal agent. Formaldehyde is used as an embaliming agent due to its ability to crosslink primary amino groups in proteins through a methylene linkage; however, due to its extremely toxic nature it tends to be avoided. Formaldehyde is also used in numerous industrial applications and organic syntheses.

Usage Statement

Unless specified otherwise, MP Biomedical's products are for research or further manufacturing use only, not for direct human use. For more information, please contact our customer service department.
