Pepsin is a proteolytic enzyme product derived from porcine stomach linings. Pepsin 1:15000 is equivalent to 15000 FCC units/mg
Key Applications
Pepsin 1:15000 is a proteolytic enzyme found in the digestive system. Non-specific background staining in bronchial tissue can be reduced after Pepsin 1:15000 digestion. It is commonly used to prepare antibody Fab fragments, for example, the F(ab)2 fragment from IgG. Pepsin 1:15000, in conjunction with other enzymes, can show the effects of fixation and enzymatic digestion during immunohistochemical assaying. Pepsin 1:15000 is provided as a powder and can be used to treat epithelial cells from a single feline mammary carcinoma.
